Second Year | Fall '15

Project done in collaboration with Sophie Lee, Gunn C., Ritchie Ju, Dana Kim, Paggy Zhu

This project was done in partnership with Carnegie Mellon University's School of Architecture and Grow Pittsburgh and its main goal was to create a small greenhouse for plant beds so that the plants grown on the garden could stand a chance to survive during the harsh Pittsburgh winter.

Our main concern was interaction and safety since our hoop house would be placed on a school garden. We chose to go with a design with interactive flaps in which teachers and students could open and close and take care of the plants, with the option of leaving the hoop house open or closed depending on what the weather was like.
